World Cup 2023: Zaka Ashraf wants Pakistan team to play 'fearlessly' against India

In anticipation of their high-stakes encounter with India, Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, has urged the team to embrace a fearless approach.

“I am heading to India to offer encouragement to the team, and my pre-India game message to them is to continue their fearless style of play, which has been their hallmark throughout the tournament,” as stated in a press release by the PCB chief.

Expressing his satisfaction with the team’s performance in the tournament thus far, Ashraf conveyed his strong support. He assured the players that both the PCB and the entire nation are firmly behind them, hoping for a successful World Cup campaign.

Ashraf also mentioned that his journey to India was postponed until it was confirmed that Pakistani journalists would receive visas to cover the significant event.

“I postponed my trip to India and will now travel after receiving confirmation that Pakistani journalists have been instructed to submit their passports for visa processing for coverage of the mega event. I’m pleased that my discussions with the foreign office have contributed to this positive development regarding the visa process delay,” remarked Ashraf.
